V-Comp
Using a fixed nominal output gain and time constants, the V-Comp recreates the rich lush buss sound of the vintage 2254 hardware compressor. This super-responsive dynamics processor packs a recognizable musical punch heard on countless hit records. Its controlled, gentle compression can really glue a mix together.
INPUT - Adjusts input level ±12 dB in 0.1 dB increments.
OUTPUT - Sets the output level, continuously adjustable ±12 dB.
METER SWITCH - Selects mode of meter display: Input; Output or Gain Reduction
METER DISPLAY - Displays input, output, or gain reduction levels.
ANALOG SWITCH - Controls the relative amount of analogue modeling. Settings: Off, ¼, ½, Orig (full analog modeling)
COMPRESS - Turns the compressor on and off.
RATIO - Sets the compression ratio of the compressor. Settings: 1.5:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 6:1
RELEASE - Sets the release time of the compressor. Settings: 400ms, 800ms, 1.5s, Auto.
